Utah Politics & How to Get Involved with Senator Patrice Arent

Guest Presenter: Senator Patrice Arent
Topic: During her 20 years in the Utah Senate and House, Patrice passed nearly 90 bills on a wide variety of topics including air quality, election law, health care, education, and identity theft. She was the founder and co-chair of the Legislature’s bipartisan Clean Air Caucus, was in House leadership, and co-chaired the House Ethics Committee and Cultural Caucus. Patrice was the first woman and longest serving co-president of the National Association of Jewish Legislators, and still serves on their board. A graduate of the University of Utah and Cornell Law School, Patrice worked in a private law firm and as a Division Chief in the Utah Attorney General’s Office. Patrice is a past Board member of Federation and currently serves on its Antisemitism Task Force. She also serves on many other community boards and committees.
