A bit about our guest speaker:
Maya Skurnik is our second full time Shlicha (Israel emissary). In that capacity this energetic Sabra will have long-lasting benefits for our community where she serves as an educational and cultural resource in addition to acting as a bridge between Israel and Utah.
Maya grew up in a kibbutz in central Israel where she spent most of her life. She served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for 6 years as an infantry platoon commander and later as an IDF Intelligence officer.
