In the spirit of Shavuot, we are partnering with the Utah Food Bank to combat food insecurity. Shavuot takes place May 25-26th and in addition to celebrating receiving the 10 commandments and the Torah, the holiday is also known as the “feast of weeks.” During this time, we read from the Book of Ruth which teaches us, among other things, to leave part of the harvest to those in need. Combined we will connect to aspects of the Book of Ruth in modern times and put Jewish values into action by volunteering for the Food Bank.
Please arrive by 6 pm. Dinner will be from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Volunteering from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.
